Helped my hand pain

I got the carpal tunnel relief bands from Hand X Band. My wrist was really bothering me after work. These bands are pretty easy to use. I just put them on and do the exercises for a few minutes. It's helped loosen things up a bit, which is good. They feel comfy enough, not too tight. Glad I tried them out.

Good for climbing, delivery okay

I picked up the rock climbing hand trainer, along with a 40lb band, a few weeks ago. The ordering process on their site was straightforward enough, no issues there. Delivery took about a week to get to me in Oregon, which is fine, not super fast but not slow either. The trainer itself feels solid and the silicone is good quality, doesn't feel like it's going to snap or anything. I've been using it a few times a week, and I can tell a difference in my finger extensors already. It's definitely helped balance out my grip strength which was getting a bit out of whack from just crimping. The 40lb band is a nice addition too for some extra resistance work. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

Thinking about getting one of these for my climbing. Which resistance level should I even start with if I'm pretty new to hand exercises?

Z Zach Moore 2 weeks ago
Yeah, I started with the light one and it was perfect. You can always move up pretty quickly.

I'd say if you climb regularly but haven't specifically done extensor work, probably light or maybe medium. Better to start easier and nail the form than go too heavy and get frustrated.

Does anyone know if these things actually help with carpal tunnel? My wrist has been bothering me for a while and I'm looking for anything that might ease it.

J Jeff Rodriguez 3 weeks ago
I've heard some people say it does, but I think it's more about balancing out the muscles. Definitely not a magic bullet, but it might help strengthen the extensors which can take pressure off the flexors.

My physical therapist actually recommended extensor exercises for my wrist pain, not specifically Hand X Band, but the concept is similar. So yeah, I think it could definitely be beneficial for carpal tunnel stuff.
